The big headed online shipping companies....I Can't comprehend their stupid standards... I understand the company follows a certain norm to maintain the credibility of their online products and reviews displayed but the review team does more or less a blind job.
I shared the review about the book "Bring Out The Magic in Your Mind" by Al Koran. Here is the reply from the team:

We noticed that the review you had shared with us is also displayed on various other sites on the internet. We don't accept such reviews even though they might be written by the same person because,
1. Flipkart may lose its credibility if others, aware of duplicate reviews, assume that Flipkart.com (or a Flipkart.com affiliate) is copying reviews of genuine authors to promote the site and products.
2. Search engines (like Google, Bing and Yahoo) penalize duplicate content on newer sites like Flipkart.com in favor of older ones.
As a result, we have removed your review from our website. Could we request that you post a fresh, original review, if you are keen to have your opinion represented in this particular product page?
We are in the process of rolling out a customer-centric forum welcoming your experiences and feedback on our services and products. In the meanwhile, please feel free to share your concerns or queries with us atcs@flipkart.com.

What strikes me hard is how can this be a copy paste? I wrote the review myself. If the intelligent Somanna means someone else also has given a positive feedback and similar opinion, how the hell does it matter? Can 2 people not share common opinion? AND how on earth is that a copy paste?

ReplyDeleteWe would like to inform you that as per our review guidelines we do not accept reviews written by customers which are posted from their own blog sites. We accept only if the review was first posted on Flipkart.com and then on their respective blogs.
